The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) recorded around 900,000 outbound passengers and 700,000 inbound passengers amid the holiday rush.
PCG said in a statement that a total of 907,429 outbound and 797,404 inbound passengers have been recorded from December 15 to 21.
For December 22 alone, the PCG recorded 83,507 outbound and 92,302 inbound passengers as of this writing.
The said numbers were recorded from midnight to noon across all seaports in the country.
Moreover, the PCG is also on “heightened alert” from December 15 to January 7 next year because of the increased mobility during the holidays.
