The Philippines has received about one million doses of Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna Covid-19 vaccines, which brought the country’s vaccine total to over 130 million shots.

Some 1,306,000 Moderna doses landed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport on Friday morning.

On Thursday, the Philippines received 609,570 Pfizer jabs.

The vaccines were procured by the Philippine government.

With its steadying vaccine stock, the country sees about 54 million fully vaccinated Filipinos by the end of the year, said Wilben Mayor, assistant secretary of the National Task Force Against Covid-19.

As of Nov. 17, a total of 72,763,442 vaccine doses have been administered nationwide.

Over 32 million Filipinos have received full protection against Covid-19, while more than 40 million Filipinos have yet to receive their second doses.
