Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla said they believe three to four persons masterminded the assassination of Negros Oriental Gov. Roel Degamo.
Remulla, however, refused to say if Negros Oriental 3rd District Rep. Arnolfo Teves Jr. is among them.
“We are investigating anybody with possible culpability. We would not exempt anybody,” he shared.
The inclusion of Teves came from the results of the SITG Degamo, the task group assigned to investigate the governor’s killing.
“We think three to four masterminds are conspiring [to kill Gov. Degamo],” Remulla told reporters.
Moreover, two of the four arrested suspects allegedly dropped Teves’s name as the mastermind.
Remulla added that Congress no longer allowed Teves to extend his stay abroad.
The suspects involved in the Degamo killing are already under the custody of the authorities.
