Most of the Covid-19 patients admitted in the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) remain unvaccinated as of August 15, 2021.
According to the medical institution’s data made public Monday morning, 187 out of 265 confined Covid-19 patients have not received a jab against the dreaded respiratory disease while 25 were partially vaccinated, or have received their first dose and 53 have completely received full doses of the Covid-19 vaccine.
Out of 13 patients admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), nine have not yet received any Covid-19 shot, while two were partially vaccinated, and two were fully vaccinated.
Out of eight patients that were either intubated or on life support in the ICU, six remain unvaccinated, while one is partially vaccinated, and the remaining patient is fully vaccinated.
Since Feb. 3, 2020, the hospital recorded 1,153 Covid patient deaths out of 5,463 Covid patient admissions, while 4,018 patients were discharged and have fully recovered. Ariane Mae Bautista
