A magnitude 4.8 earthquake shook some parts of Panay Island on Thursday night, about 24 hours after Typhoon “Ursula” hit its northern portion last December 25.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said and was tectonic in origin.
Various Facebook posts from netizens displayed the shock was also experienced in some parts of Iloilo province.
This was followed by a 4.9 magnitude quake with a depth of 38.3 kilometers. Its epicenter was at Barangay Alimono, Passi City, Iloilo province.
No fatalities and damages were reported. (RJ Espartinez)
