A magnitude 4.7 quake hit Sarangani Monday afternoon, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).

The quake’s epicenter was located 52 kilometers southwest of Sarangani, was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 26 kilometers, Phivolcs said.

Intensity IV was recorded in Glan, Sarangani and Tupi in South Cotabato. Intensity III was recorded in General Santos City.

Instrumental Intensities were recorded in the following areas:

Intensity III – General Santos City

Intensity II – Malungon, Alabel & Kiamba, Sarangani; Tupi, South Cotabato

Intensity I – Koronadal City
