Three persons in possession of P.4 million worth of fake cigarettes were apprehended in Libon town, Albay 

Albay police spokesperson, Capt. Dexter Panganiban said the three were caught peddling 39 boxes of bogus Marlboro brand cigarettes to a buyer in Barangay Pantao.

Police operatives identified the suspects as Mohammad Nor Pangcoga, 21; and Wahid Barodi, 33, both hailing from Quiapo, Manila and Grace Joy Elmido, 35, from Quezon City.

The suspects are now held at the town police station while charges are being prepared against them for violation of the Customs and Tariff Act and Republic Act 8293, otherwise known as the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines.(Jojo Mangahis)
