A 3.3-magnitude quake hit Kapatagan town in Lanao del Norte, Thursday evening.
Residents in the town and nearby locations posted on social media to confirm if they also felt a “strong shaking.”
The quake, which was tectonic in origin, hit four kilometers southeast of Kapatagan at a depth of four kilometers, according to the earthquake bulletin of the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
Kapatagan was struck by Intensity 4 while nearby Salvador town was rattled by Intensity 3. Both areas reported no damage.
Phivolcs reported no aftershocks. (RJ Espartinez)
