The Philippines received 250,800 doses of the Moderna vaccine on Thursday.

The doses arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 at past noon.

It was the second batch of Moderna vaccines the Philippines has received. The first batch, which consisted of 249,600 doses, arrived on June 27.

The shipment brought the country’s total vaccine stock to 22,030,710 doses.

Of the 250,800 doses delivered on Thursday, 194,400 were procured by the national government, while 56,400 doses will be for the use of private firms led by International Container Terminal Services, Inc.

The Philippines secured 20 million doses of the Moderna vaccine through a tripartite agreement signed between the government and the private sector.

The country has administered 14,074,514 vaccine doses, Palace spokesman Harry Roque reported earlier on Thursday. John Ezekiel J. Hirro
