The Philippines’ coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) tally pushes to 563,456 after the Department of Health (DOH) announced 2,288 new infections.

As per the DOH’s latest data, six Covid-19 laboratories failed to submit their daily reports on time.

Currently, there are 28,488 active Covid-19 cases undergoing medical treatment or quarantine: 88.1% are mild, 5.7% are asymptomatic, 2.7% are critical, 2.6% are severe and 0.85% are moderate.

The country’s recovery rate increased to 522,874 with 33 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness. 

Death toll, on the other hand, inches to 12,094 with 6 new fatalities.

The DOH also added that a duplicate was removed from the nation’s tally, while two cases previously declared as recoveries were reclassified as deaths after validation. Ronald dela Cruz
