Two hospitals in Quezon City already reached its limit in accommodating coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) patients.  

Data from the city government revealed that the Quezon City General Hospital has a 100% occupancy rate with 93 patients while the Novaliches District Hospital has a 120.80% occupancy rate with 58 patients, all as of August 5. 

Meanwhile, the Rosario Maclang Bautista General Hospital has already reached 92.59% occupancy rate. The local government explained that the status is based on the Department of Health (DOH)’s 50% bed capacity mandatory.

The city’s HOPE Community Caring Facilities already reported 1,117 out of 1,601 beds, the local government added. 

Quezon City has logged 110,586 Covid-19 infections with 105,198 recoveries, 1,238 deaths, and 4,150 active cases. – Ronald Espartinez
