The Philippines logged 452 new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infections, the lowest since July 2020, further increasing the nationwide tally to 2,832,734.

The Department of Health (DOH) confirmed that four Covid-19 laboratories failed to submit their daily reports on time, while two laboratories were not operational on November 28. 

Currently, there are 15,800 active Covid-19 infections undergoing medical treatment and/or quarantine: 47.5% are mild, 5.3% are asymptomatic, 16% are severe, and 6.8% are in critical condition.

Meanwhile, the country’s recovery rate climbed to 2,768,389 with 909 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness.

Death toll, on the other hand, inches to 48,545 with 44 new fatalities. 

The health department also reported that three duplicates were removed from the nationwide count, while 63 infections were also removed after testing negative. Ronald Espartinez
